SERVICES AND PROGRAMMING

AICC is part of the TRIO funding through the United States Department of Education.

The agency provides precollege support to Middle and High School students from select Charlotte Mecklenburg schools – Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound. Adult participants are also provided pre-college support in three counties- Gaston, Mecklenburg and Union in our Educational Opportunity Center.

Academic Institute of Central Carolina provides a menu of services in all three TRIO programs.


Services are comprehensive and include the following:

  • Academic support to ensure graduation from high school or completion of a GED program
  • Assistance completing FAFSA and financial literacy
  • Free Tutoring
  • College Tours
  • Supplemental instruction
  • Assistance to enroll or re-enroll in college and college level program

All services are FREE
FUNDING
AICC Trio programs are 100% federally funded by the U. S. Department of Education for eligible families seeking completion of secondary school and enrollment in higher education. 

ABOUT AICC

Academic Institute of Central Carolina(AICC) is a non-profit agency founded in 2011 that provides academic support to residents in three counties. The agency is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is currently funded by the United States Department of Education and has three TRIO programs. The three TRIO programs currently funded are Educational Talent Search (ETS), Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) and Upward Bound (UB).
